v0.5.0-alpha
Latest AlphaExperimental native Linux build, Alerts/Changes/Files sidebar with a split git diff reader, configurable split column width, smoother split and close motion, and agent-friendly clipboard image paste.
- NEW Experimental Linux Build (from source): Native X11 GUI (also under Wayland via Xwayland) with OpenGL/EGL, FreeType fonts and a Linux PTY backend. Includes CLIPBOARD and PRIMARY selection with middle-click paste, XDND file drops that insert safely quoted paths, sRGB-correct colors and window transparency. The downloadable binary remains Windows-only.
- NEW Alerts, Changes & Files Sidebar: One themed drawer with three panels. Alerts lists agent notifications with git summaries; Changes shows the active repository's status with addition/deletion counts; Files browses and fuzzy-searches the terminal's current directory, including WSL paths. Ctrl+Shift+N / Ctrl+Shift+G or Alt+N / Alt+G open it.
- NEW Split Git Diff Reader: Side-by-side HEAD vs working tree with per-side line numbers, shared scrolling, untracked and pre-first-commit support, and explicit binary/empty/error states. Git queries run in cancellable background jobs.
- NEW Configurable Split Column Width: Settings slider (10-100%) for automatic columns. Columns fill the viewport until they reach the configured width, then scroll; manual widths are preserved.
- FIX Agent Image Paste: Alt+V and Ctrl+V now reach Claude Code and Codex so they can read clipboard images themselves (Ctrl+V still pastes when the clipboard holds text). Paste Image now writes a real PNG and sends its path as a bracketed paste.
- PERF Paced Motion Clock: Animation steps snap to whole display refresh periods, so timer jitter no longer causes judder, and a stall stretches an animation instead of teleporting it.
- UI Cleaner Split & Close Motion: Neighbouring panels meet at one shared edge during spring bounce (no background strip), the surviving pane reflows as the close begins instead of jumping at the end, and exiting panels fade out faster.
- PERF Responsive Layout Animation: Background terminal output is drained within a 3 ms budget while panels move; the focused pane is always serviced and no output is dropped.
- UI Themed Overlays: Palette, menus, tab and wheel pickers derive their colors from the active theme, and translucent blurred backdrops keep their transparency.
